Trotternish Ridge Shooting Notes:
The Trotternish Ridge stretches approximately 20 miles from the North of the Isle of Skye down to Portree. Formed by a massive landslip, the jagged edges of and rocky outcrops provide great contrasting shadows and compositions and its dramatic undulating ridge provides many great photography opportunities.
Because the ridge runs roughly North to South, it splits the light beautifully during sunsets, especially in Winter when the days are short, and this particular print was snapped at 2pm in December, only an hour or so before sunset.
This print also features as one of my Isle of Skye postcard collection, available to purchase here on my website.
