‘Coigach, Cul Mor, Cul Beag, Stac Pollaidh and Beyond’ – Shooting Notes:
A beautiful sunny day (no midges!) was topped off by a lovely sunset across the Coigach area. Viewed from Cul Mor, the Corbetts in this part of Scotland are second to none with their superlative views across Wester Ross and beyond.
The climb up the twin-peaked Cul Mor is fairly straightforward and provides rewards which are disproportionate to any effort you make. Assynt and Coigach are areas which have a beautiful balance of swathes of lochan spattered moorland, interspersed with uniquely individual peaks. Combined with the mercurial light of the Northwest coast, it all comes together to form an irresistible draw for any landscape lover.
